Residential and Commercial Lawn Rolling In Grand Island, Tonawanda, and Surrounding Areas
You spend countless hours mowing, edging, watering, and fertilizing your lawn so it looks its best all season long. But when you walk your property and discover just how bumpy and uneven the ground is, it can be disheartening. The good news is that a bumpy lawn is not a sign that it’s unhealthy. A simple cosmetic fix can even your lawn and restore your landscape! At WNY Services LLC we offer professional lawn rolling for both our residential and commercial clients.
Lawn Rolling: What Does It Do or Not Do?
We use a 2,000lb asphalt roller for lawn rolling that can compact the soil to a depth of 10 inches and knock down or flatten minor tire ruts, air pockets, animal tunnels, minor root systems, lawn damage, and lawn upheaval.
Lawn rolling will not grade your lawn (move soil from high areas to fill in low areas) and does not handle hills well. Depending on the slope of your hill, our lawn roller may not be able to go up or down it.
Lawn Rolling: What To Consider
As with any landscaping project, it’s important to consider all aspects of lawn rolling prior to scheduling your service:
- For best results, we recommend lawn rolling when there is moisture in the ground.
- Because lawn rolling is a type of soil compaction, there may be damage to your lawn’s root system. We highly recommend core aeration afterwards to relieve the pressure and keep your lawn healthy.
- Be mindful of what’s buried in your lawn: Sprinkler heads, valve boxes, wiring for landscape lighting, septic tanks, drain fields, and more. We ask that these things be flagged or marked prior to our arrival so we can avoid them if possible. Sprinkler heads are generally buried deep enough that they are not a concern, however, it is up to the home owner to accept the risk of hitting them.
When you want an extraordinary lawn, look no further than WNY Services LLC.
